Tanya Preminger – artist, sculptor, curator – is one of the most intensely prolific, masterful sculptors I’ve ever encountered. Her works are monumental in scope (not always in size), and I love how many of them convey a subtle humor not seen in most monumental works.
I’m including a few images below to show you her versatility and expertise. I hope this inspires you! The following text is from her site, TanyaPreminger.com:
She does Sculpture, Installations, and photography. She uses different materials; from the traditional wood, clay, stone in all its varieties (Granite, Marble, local Israeli stones, Basalt) to earth and other less conventional materials.
She explores Art in Nature and all its derivatives – Landscape art, Environmental art, and site-specific work. Tanya participates regularly in International stone sculpture symposiums and competitions in Europe, the Americas and the Far-East.
Artists statement: “My purpose is to express the immaterial essence of things in physical stuff: to make tangible the universal essence of the creation.”
