VIRTUAL INFORMATION RESOURCES

The Stone Sculpture Virtual Library
http://aboutstone.org/vl/

Since 1997, this virtual library has been the most comprehensive and up-to-date directory of international web sites for and about people who work with natural stone — by hand, eye or imagination. It currently contains 903 reliable, quality links for stone sculpture, carving, quarries, art, architecture, culture, work and environment.

If your website has something to offer people who are interested in natural stone, please add it to our database. We are currently serving more than 2500 outgoing links every day — please get your share. There are no strings attached. It’s a free service to our visitors and the stone community everywhere.

The International Sculpture Center
http://www.sculptor.org

The International Sculpture Center (ISC) is a member-supported, nonprofit organization founded in 1960 to advance the creation and understanding of sculpture and its unique, vital contribution to society.

Members include sculptors, collectors, patrons, architects, developers, journalists, curators, historians, critics, educators, foundries, galleries, and museums—anyone with an interest in and commitment to the field of sculpture.

The ISC seeks to expand public understanding and appreciation of sculpture internationally, demonstrate the power of sculpture to educate, effect social change, engage artists and arts professionals in a dialogue to advance the art form, and promote a supportive environment for sculpture and sculptors.

Sculptor.org is an eclectic, investment-grade collection of sculpture from the most renowned artists in their field. The site introduces buyers to this select group of internationally revered sculptors, allowing them the opportunity to purchase limited-edition pieces or privately commission sculpture from any of the artists.
